Cheer Clinic for Jr.K and K

A flyer went home yesterday for the full day girls, and today for the 1/2 day girls regarding a Cheer Clinic on October 22nd. I have attached the flyer here incase you missed it. There is a short turn around for these to be returned. The due date is this Friday, October 15th.  
This week our Star Student is Amaia! She loves unicorns and polar bears, and when she grows up she wants to be Owlette! Thank you for telling us all about yourself!

Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
Today we went out to the statue of St. Francis, listened to the song version of Prayer of St. Francis, recited a prayer for animals, and blessed our stuffed animals. We also watched a little video about how St. Francis grew up and the choices he made growing up, to become a Saint we honor and pray to. We will continue to spread kindness, and lend a helping hand to all those in need.  
 
Our 1st Student of the Week!  She did a wonderful job telling us all her favorite things. When she grows up, she would like to be a chef! Thank you for telling us all about yourself!

If you order from Scholastic and you are wondering "where are my books that were ordered?", well I was wondering the same thing. This is the message Scholastic currently has on our teacher pages. I'm sorry its taking so long, but as soon as they come in, they will be sent home. Thank you again for ordering and in the process helping us grow our own classroom library through the points earned. 
 

Dear Parents, 


Monday, Oct. 4th is the Feast of St. Francis. To celebrate, we are going to have our own “Blessing of the Pets”. Each child is allowed to bring ONE SMALL stuffed animal to school on Monday. Weather permitting we will go out by his statue on the playground and say the prayer of St. Francis along with a blessing for the animals.

September Scholastic Book Order

Today, the order was placed for those who ordered from the Scholastic Book Club. When the books arrive we will place them into your child's backpack right away. 
 
If at any point you want to order books and have them be a surprise, please let me know ahead of time so I can package it differently, or hand it off to you when they aren't looking. 
 
The October flyers will go out the 1st day of October and the due date will be Friday Oct. 8th. Orders can be placed on-line and via the flyers (payment via check- no cash allowed). 
 
Thank you for ordering and helping bring books into our classroom at the same time. 

UPP Raffle Ticket Update!

We have surpassed our goal of 150 raffle tickets sold! This week we had our movie theater day, and the last Friday in May will be our Superhero Day! 
 
More information will come out closer to May 28th. If you want to plan in advance, children will be able to come dressed up as their favorite superhero, or simply have a cape, or t-shirt with their favorite superhero, or create their own. We will be discussing all these options in the classroom, so everyone feels included. 
 
Most importantly, we want to say "THANK YOU" to all our families who sold the raffle tickets so we can partake in these fun specialized days! Each one has been more exciting than the last and we will definitely make sure Superhero day is one to remember!
