Grade 3 Room 10 Mrs. Kroll Introduction
Hello, and welcome to third grade! I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to work with your child this year. I look forward to forming a partnership with you throughout the year in order to best meet the needs of your child. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] whenever you feel it necessary. Also, please email me as a problem may arise, as they are easier to handle immediately.
I am looking forward to provide opportunities in the classroom that provide social-emotional, academic, and spiritual growth. I will provide different experiences that will lead to learning in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I will support and challenge your child's needs to grow everyday.
Please know that third grade is a transition year, and I ask you to be patient at the beginning of the year when establishing homework routines. Also know that throughout the year, I am expecting your child to become more independent as the year progresses. Please expect your child to have 20-30 minutes of homework each night. I do not give homework on the weekends, as that is family time.
Please be advised that I do not input grades daily into Powerschool . It may be best that you only check Powerschool once a week, or every few weeks.
If you happen to be doing any cleaning of closets or the garage, please feel free to donate any beach chairs or bean bags that would enhance our reading areas.
I am a huge believer in using stability balls for seating in my classroom. If you would like to donate a stability ball to our classroom, please order size "45 cm elementary" in any color you wish. Feel free to purchase them from this website and send it to school. Thank you in advance for this purchase
If your child presently subscribes to any magazines and you toss them after they have finished enjoying them, feel free to send them to donate to our classroom library.
