I am posting several color wheel printables for different ability levels to accompany the Color Wheel Challenge.
Students can use crayon, marker, color pencil or paints.
I suggest printing on white card stock if painting.
Color Wheel Challenge
Please watch my video explaining the Color Wheel Challenge.
All grades can participate in this optional activity using items from home.
Photos of student’s color wheel can be emailed or texted to me. I will try to post all of the color wheel creations.
I came across a charming British publishing company that has offered two volumes of coloring pages by various artists for different age ranges.
Fun With Matisse
In Matisse’s later life, he began making art with paper. He cut pieces of paper into organic shapes and arranged them to make many abstract pieces. This is very easy to do and requires little supplies.
All you need is: scissors, glue and paper. Children will cut paper into geometric or organic shapes and glue onto paper to make an image or an abstract piece. They could use strictly warm or cool colors to make it more challenging.
A great companion piece to this project is the book, Henri’s Scissors, by Jeanette Winter. This can be found on Amazon.
