Students will work in pairs to create a series of clues that can be followed to track down (insert school appropriate name of your choice here.) Other students will use the clues provided to try and follow this individual across the globe.
Each pair of students should use the attached website and the atlases provided (the blue books in the corner of the room) to create a 3-part series of clues to 10 different countries. Each clue should have 3 parts, starting with the most difficult, and ending with the easiest. The third and final clue should always be the capital of that country.
For example, if my country was Germany, I would list the following clues:
1. Home of Borussia Dortmund Football Club
2. Flag consists of three horizontal bars (Black, Red, and Gold)
3. The capital is Berlin

September 15th - October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988, on the approval of Public Law 100-402.
The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September 18, respectively. Also, Columbus Day or Día de la Raza, which is October 12, falls within this 30 day period.
Today in class, each student will have the opportunity to explore these articles, images, videos, and multimedia experiences on their own and choose their own adventure. Each student must write one paragraph in the attached Google Doc describing what they learned from their experience exploring this site. Please be as specific as possible.
