6th Grade Religion Newspaper Project
Due January 19, 2021

Instructions: You will create a newspaper, set in the time of Jesus’ birth. You will give your newspaper a name (i.e. Bethlehem Times) and write 3 stories, draw 2 pictures, and make one fun activity (i.e. word search, comic strip, etc.) A template is attached. You may use the template or design your own newspaper. Your newspaper must include the following elements:

Three news articles about something that happened in the time of Jesus’ birth. You should write these as though you are the reporter. New articles may be any of the following: Use the Gospels of Matthew and Luke as a reference.
A factual account of something that happened or a developing story
An interview with someone (shephard, king, townsperson, etc.)
A commentary/opinion article

Two pictures, drawn by you

One funny/entertaining activity (such as a word search, comic strip, riddle, crossword, etc.)

We will discuss this assignment on Monday 1/4 in our morning meeting, Mrs.Brow's students, you will get more instructions from Mrs.Brow.
