5th Grade Social Studies Assignments

Write a letter documenting your personal experience living through the pandemic. The assignment is in recognition of the significant role the students have played in a pivotal moment in history and is our entry point into understanding what a primary source is. 

 

The content/topic of the letter is up to each student, but it must fill one side of a page. Potential topics may include but are not limited to the following:

 

What have I learned about myself in the last 5 months?

What new skills/areas of interest have I acquired?

How has my daily routine altered?

What is my hope for how this will change the world for the better?

What do I look forward to the most once the world returns to business as usual?

 

The letter will be turned in on Monday, 8/31. The document will be kept for the remainder of the school year and returned to the students at the end of the term.
