Welcome to 1/2 Day and Full Day Pre-K 4 with Ms. Gunther! I'm so excited to be with you this year as you continue to learn and grow. In preschool we work hard, though our form of work might look like play to everyone else. While we play, we are working on our social/ emotional development, language, math, science, social studies, and religion! Along with playing, we also spend time creating with paints, crayons, markers, paper, and glue. Playing is hard work in preschool!

Grinch Day is Coming Up!

A fun-filled day of Grinch Themed activities with Mrs. Segreti’s Pre-K 4 class. We will wrap up by watching the movie.

Come dressed as your favorite Grinch character or simply wear green.

Do either one of these water bottles belong to your child? If so please let me know. The Baby Shark bottle doesn't belong to Jack C. as his is at home. Thank you!
 

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here is a video montage of our Charlie Brown Friendsgiving. The children really got a kick out of Snoopy and friends also enjoying popcorn and jellybeans! A quick reminder, ******For this year’s service project the preschool families are collecting hearty soups for the New Hope Community Food Pantry. The donations will be picked up on Friday 12/1. So please send in any donations next week. Also the Preschool Mass is Sat 12/2 where they will sing Jesus is Coming in the front of the Church for the tree lighting before Mass begins. Happy Veteran's Day!

Our class joined was joined by Mrs. Segreti's class to sing some Veteran's Day songs in honor of the men and women who have served in the military to protect us. Thank you from our class to you!

1st Grade Reading Buddies

This past week we started a new activity that we will continue throughout the year. Every other week we will take turns with Mrs. Segreti's class to read with our 1st grade reading buddies. We will visit each classroom on MWF to help inspire the 1st graders to continue practicing their reading. We can't wait to go back!
October 4th is also Picture Day! Information about picture day was sent home (9/28), we will also have PE that day, but our pictures will be done before that. It will be a busy morning in our classroom that day, as we have pictures, PE, and our Blessing of the Pets (St. Francis prayer service). 
 
I will avoid any painting/messy work in the classroom that day.

Dear Parents, 


Wednesday, Oct. 4th is the Feast of St. Francis. To celebrate, we are going to have our own “Blessing of the Pets”. Each child is allowed to bring ONE SMALL stuffed animal to school on Wednesday. Weather permitting we will go out by his statue on the playground and say the prayer of St. Francis along with a blessing for the animals.

Get ready for some FUN in the Sun at our

Classroom Beach Day

Tuesday, May 30th


Students are invited to wear hats and sunglasses and bring in a beach towel.


We will also eat our lunch picnic style (outside weather permitting) with our other pre-k 4 friends and our FAITH PARTNERS!


All half day students are invited to stay with us until 12:30. They should bring both a snack as usual, and a lunch! 



May 26th: Superhero Day!
 
Thank you to all the families who helped us reach our goal of 150 tickets and then some with a final total of 186!! We couldn't have done it without you, and we can't wait to have our Superhero Day! We will also take this day to celebrate our friends who have June/July/August birthdays. 
 
On Superhero day children are able to dress up in costume, wear a capes (any weapons or accessories other than a cape should be left at home). 
 
We will offer a variety of activities for the children to engage in, each focusing on a different Superhero ability. 
 
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you again for all your support for our wonderful school!

UPDATE (as of 4/27):
We are only 8 tickets away from reaching our UPP Raffle Ticket Goal! If every family was able to sell just one more ticket, our class can have our Superhero Day. Please help us reach our last goal. We are also currently the only Prek class to have sold 142 tickets, helps us be the first PreK class to reach 150!
