Kindergarten News ~ May 29, 2020

Well, the school year has come to an end. It was SO WONDERFUL to see everyone in person today at the supply pickup! Along with the Memory Binders, Yearbooks, Kindergarten Certificate and Report Card, you will find your child's crayon box, extra pencils & crayons, headphones, art shirt, extra clothing and the workbooks with the remaining pages that we would have completed in person over the course of the past few weeks (many of these pages were put onto Seesaw, however, we sent the paper copies home to use as a review over the summer).
Seesaw will remain open throughout the Summer. I will try to add some activities each week, however, I will not be checking it as regularly as during the school year.
Mrs. Marino and I have truly loved having your children in our class this year.
We both thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful drawings, cards and the most thoughtful and generous gifts! We were blown away by your kindness!!
We wish everyone a wonderful, safe and happy Summer! :)

Kindergarten News for May 25, 2020

Happy Memorial Day!
I hope everyone had the chance to enjoy the summer-like weather with their families this weekend!
This week marks the end of our Kindergarten year! How quickly the school year went! I am so proud of all of my students and I know that despite the way our school year ended, they are all ready for First Grade!
We will be celebrating our virtual Kindergarten Celebration on Wednesday! I hope you can join the entire Kindergarten to celebrate our wonderful year and your wonderful children. If you are unable to join in the live meeting, the link will be available afterwards!
Seesaw lessons this week will be some more review along with end of the year activities.
Don't forget that Friday is our scheduled pick-up day for students' belongings as well as their Memory Books, Yearbooks and Report Cards.
I look forward to "seeing" everyone at pick-up on Friday!

Kindergarten News ~ May 15, 2020

It is hard to believe that we have completed our Math units and our Reading units! At this point in the school year, we would be preparing for Celebration and wrapping up our academics with review and testing. We are doing just about the same thing virtually via Seesaw and Zoom now.
In the next two weeks, you will see activities in Seesaw that are fun/review activities to reinforce what we have learned this year and allow me to see how your child has processed and retained some of the lessons.
This week we will celebrate our last Star Student! We have two more Brynn Bear shares this year!
By now you should have received Mrs. Carlson's email regarding picking up your child's belongings. Kindergarten's pick-up will be on Friday, May 29th and various times depending on your last name (see chart below).

Kindergarten "Virtual" Celebration will now be taking place on Thursday, May 28th!!! Please watch your email for information on how this will be working!

I know this is a lot of information and we are all feeling a little overwhelmed right now, but I appreciate your cooperation and support IMMENSELY!

THANK YOU for all you are doing with your children! As I always say, you are your child's first teacher; we teachers at school nurture and build upon the foundation you have set in place and for that we thank you!!!

Enjoy the weekend! :)
